Chad Wilson, MBA

Chad Wilson possesses over seven years of experience in working with children and adolescents. Prior to founding the HIPT: Rising Stars Academy, Chad has mentored over fifty kids from the Washington DC Metropolitan area and accumulated over three years of amateur athletic coaching experience. In addition, Chad was a former Division I point guard who lead by example and always portrayed leadership qualities. With over fifteen years of basketball development experience, Chad possess excellent motivational methods and he is a passionate instructor with a keen eye for detail. Chad has also volunteered for a number of community outreach programs (e.g., Big Brother Big Sister and Boys and Girls Club of America) to help with the development of under-privileged youth. Chad’s desire to impact the youth influenced him to collaborate with Steven Davis; a former college teammate, to develop a unique mental health/ psychiatric rehabilitation program.
Outside of Chad’s volunteer work, Chad has over five years of management consulting experience with companies such as Accenture Federal Services and MorganFranklin Consulting supporting the Client Delivery & Operations Teams. Chad earned both his graduate and undergraduate degrees from Delaware State University. He holds his BS in Accounting & Finance and his MBA in Business Administration with a Concentration in Project Management.
CO-FOUNDER/ CO-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Steven Davis possesses over ten years of experience in working with children and adolescents. Prior to founding the HIPT: Rising Stars Academy, Steven volunteered for a number of community outreach programs (e.g., Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Big Brother Big Sister, and BEST Kids). Steven enjoys mentoring children and collaborating with volunteer programs to develop creative ways to influence children. Being an Inner City kid from Lynchburg, Virginia, Steven understands the communities of the less fortunate, and is fully invested in giving back. This burning desire to help children succeed made it easy for Steven to collaborate with Chad to develop the HIPT: Rising Stars Academy. Steven’s goal is to make the HIPT: Rising Stars Academy unlike any other program available.
Outside of Steven’s volunteer work, Steven has three years of amateur athletic basketball officiating experience, over two years of amateur athletic coaching experience, and over fifteen years involved in general basketball development. Steven was a former collegiate athlete who understood the importance of hard work and dedication. His never say quit mentality translated from his collegiate career into the real world. In addition, Steven has over 5 years of banking experience with companies such as SunTrust and Capital One, with primary experience in Financial Management. Steven earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
